71-year-old Ottawa cyclist died after crashing his bike on County Road 42 near Portland, Ontario. The cyclist was carrying an object that made contact with his wheel, causing his bicycle to stop suddenly, and he was thrown over the front of his bike. Leeds County OPP and the provincial coroner's office are investigating his death. The crash occurred about 120 km southwest of downtown Ottawa.
