A 39-year-old man suffered a serious head injury in an assault on Hart Lane, Hartlepool. The incident occurred near the junction with Serpentine Road at around 6:45 pm. The victim was taken to James Cook University Hospital for treatment. Cleveland Police are appealing for dashcam, doorbell, or CCTV footage and are encouraging anyone with information to call 101.
