27-year-old Jacob Beckner from Charleston was killed in a UTV crash in Roane County early Saturday morning. The incident occurred at 1:30 a.m. when the UTV, operated by Beckner, went off the road, flipped, and crashed into a tree. A 17-year-old passenger was trapped in the wreckage, extricated, and taken by helicopter to CAMC for treatment. The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
