Sri Lanka's Irrigation Department has withdrawn flood warnings for 5 major rivers, including Kelani, Kalu, Attanagalu Oya, Gin, and Nilwala Rivers, issued since June 1st. The department continues to monitor rainfall and river levels, and will issue prior warnings if needed. Despite withdrawal, the Meteorological Department predicts intensified rainy conditions in the southwestern region of the island, affecting 282,797 people due to rain-related disasters.
