Qatar Central Bank's foreign currency reserves and liquidity increased 3.96% year-on-year, reaching QR 249.165bn ($68.4bn) in May 2024. Official reserves rose by 8.833bn riyals to QR 190.206bn, mainly due to a decrease in foreign bank balances by 2.816bn riyals. Gold reserves also increased by 7.276bn riyals to QR 28.327bn, while balances with foreign banks and Special Drawing Rights deposits decreased.
