NIA arrests Lunminsei Kipgen, first accused in 2024 Manipur murders, under UAPA and Arms Act.
The National Investigation Agency (NIA) arrested Lunminsei Kipgen, the first accused in the January 2024 murders of four civilians in Manipur's Bishnupur district. Kipgen, involved in an ongoing ethnic conflict, was apprehended under sections of the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act and Arms Act. He previously belonged to the Kuki militant outfit KNF(P) but joined another Kuki militant group, the United Kuki National Army, during the current wave of violence.
