Manchester City is set to finalise a new £375,000-a-week contract for Phil Foden, making him the highest-paid British footballer. Foden's current £225,000-a-week deal will be increased, and the club has also agreed a new contract extension with backup goalkeeper Stefan Ortega until 2026. Foden, 24, played a pivotal role in City's recent league title and was named FWA Footballer of the Year.
