Hyundai Motor and Kia, top South Korean automakers, reached a record 11.2% US EV market share in the first five months of 2024, selling 48,838 vehicles. This marks a significant increase from 6.8% in 2023 and 10.6% in 2022, with their combined share narrowing the gap with US giant Tesla. EVs accounted for 40% of eco-friendly models sold by the two companies in the US during this period.
