Humboldt Park Beach in Chicago reopens on June 17 after a 4-year closure, with lifeguards on duty.
Chicago's Humboldt Park Beach, the city's only inland beach, will reopen on June 17 after a four-year closure, announced the Chicago Park District. Located at 1400 N. Sacramento Ave, the beach will open at 11 a.m. and feature lifeguards on duty from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. when the beach is open. The park district credits a successful recruitment campaign for addressing the lifeguard shortage that had previously impacted the city.
