Former President John Dramani Mahama, flagbearer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), has criticised the police's detention of NDC parliamentary candidate for Awutu Senya East, Phillis Naa Koryoo. Mahama claims the detention will unnecessarily heighten political tensions in Ghana. He called for the immediate release of Naa Koryoo and urged the IGP, government, and the peace council to maintain peace and stability in the country.
