66-year-old Victor Fields was identified as the man fatally struck by a car while riding his bicycle on the shoulder of Southbound Interstate 805 near Otay Valley Regional Park on May 29. The accident occurred when a Toyota sedan swerved for unknown reasons and hit Fields on the Palm Avenue offramp around 7:30 pm. The San Diego County Medical Examiner's Office determined the incident as an accident.
