46-year-old Steven Wardle, a prisoner on remand for drug and domestic abuse charges, escaped from private security officers at New Cross Hospital in Wolverhampton. He had been taken to the hospital from Wolverhampton Magistrates' Court on June 6 due to a medical issue. West Midlands Police have issued an urgent appeal, asking the public to call 999 if they spot Wardle, and have conducted numerous searches to locate him.
