47-year-old Florence man, Kendric Cannon, received a five-year federal prison sentence for possessing a firearm in furtherance of drug trafficking. Authorities discovered a .380 caliber handgun, over 100 grams of cocaine, and a digital scale in the car after encountering Cannon in an apartment complex parking lot on February 2, 2022. In addition to his prison sentence, Cannon will face three years of court-ordered supervision.
