Westport firefighters rescued a trapped driver from a car under a guardrail on I-95 North using the "Jaws of Life" in 15 minutes.
On Friday, Westport firefighters rescued a driver trapped in a car pinned under a guardrail on I-95 North between exits 17 and 18. Using the "Jaws of Life," they freed the person in 15 minutes and transported them to a hospital. State Police investigated the incident, with the last unit clearing the scene by 9:50 PM. The extent of the driver's injuries remains unknown.
