Veterans nonprofit owner Thelbert Lawson Jr. has been ordered to pay $1.5 million to 12 women for sexually harassing them while they worked or shopped at his charity's thrift stores in Wenatchee and Kennewick. The civil lawsuit, filed by the Washington State Attorney General's Office, alleges that Lawson violated the Washington Law Against Discrimination. The jury found Lawson liable for patterns of sexually-charged harassment and retaliation.
