The UAE Ministry of Health and Prevention has set new abortion guidelines, permitting the procedure in cases where a woman's life is in danger, there's no alternative to save her life, or if the fetus' deformation is severe. The dedicated committee, comprising 3 doctors and a Public Prosecution representative, evaluates requests. Abortions must be performed in licensed facilities by licensed specialists within 120 days of gestation and prioritize patient privacy and confidentiality.
