Conservative Party plans to scrap London's ULEZ, introduce "Backing Drivers Bill" and give residents referendum rights on LTNs and 20mph zones if re-elected.
The Conservative Party plans to scrap London's Ultra Low Emission Zone (ULEZ) if re-elected and introduce a "Backing Drivers Bill" to protect motorists. The bill would ban "blanket" 20mph zones and give local residents the right to referendums on Low Traffic Neighbourhoods (LTNs) and 20mph zones. Prime Minister Rishi Sunak claimed the party is "on the side of drivers" and aims to keep motoring costs under control.
