Norwegian Minister of Climate and Environment, Andreas Bjelland Eriksen, was inspired by China's ocean conservation efforts during his first trip to the country. He was particularly impressed by the marine ecological environment and the locals' dedication to ocean protection in the coastal city of Xiamen. The experience reminded him of his hometown, Stavanger, Norway.
