Cryptocurrency data aggregator CoinGecko confirms a data breach at its third-party email management platform GetResponse, which resulted in attackers exporting the contact information of over 1.9 million CoinGecko users. The breach occurred due to a compromised employee account at GetResponse, and over 23,000 phishing emails were sent to users within 24 hours of the incident. CoinGecko user accounts and passwords remain secure and uncompromised.
