LinkedIn stops using sensitive data for targeted ads in Europe to comply with the EU's Digital Services Act.

LinkedIn has stopped using a tool that allowed it to use sensitive personal data for targeted advertising in order to adhere to the European Union's Digital Services Act (DSA). This decision follows a complaint by civil society organizations to the European Commission. LinkedIn has removed the ability for advertisers to create an advertising audience in Europe using LinkedIn Group membership data, in response to the DSA's requirement for online intermediaries to provide users with increased data management controls and prohibiting the use of sensitive personal data for targeted ads.
