2023-24 Kansas Softball Gatorade Player of the Year awarded to Wamego's junior pitcher Peyton Hardenburger.
Wamego's Peyton Hardenburger, a junior pitcher, has been named the 2023-24 Kansas Softball Gatorade Player of the Year. Hardenburger led the Red Raiders to a 23-2 record and the 4A state championship this past season, demonstrating an impressive 15-1 record, 0.30 ERA, and 288 strikeouts in 117 innings pitched. This is the first time a softball player from Wamego High School has received the award.
