Howard University has revoked rapper and entrepreneur Sean "Diddy" Combs' 2014 honorary degree and returned his $1 million donation due to a 2016 surveillance video showing him assaulting his then-girlfriend, Cassie Ventura. The university's Board of Trustees also ended a 2023 pledge agreement with Combs' foundation, stating that his behavior is incompatible with the institution's values. Combs received the honorary degree in 2014.
