Federal judge allows class-action lawsuit against Cold Stone Creamery for alleged false advertising of pistachio ice cream ingredients.

A federal judge in New York has approved a class-action lawsuit filed by a Long Island woman who claims Cold Stone Creamery's pistachio ice cream does not contain actual pistachios. Lead plaintiff Jenna Marie Duncan alleges that the ice cream contains "pistachio flavoring," a mixture of water, ethanol, and propylene glycol. The lawsuit, which has been given the green light to proceed, accuses the company of false advertising and misleading consumers.
