China's top procuratorate issued studies of eight typical cases to guide prosecutors nationwide in handling cultural heritage-related public litigations. The cases involve common illegal acts such as damaging and illegally occupying cultural relics, including historical buildings, revolutionary sites, and ancient cultural relics. Since October 2019, procuratorates have handled over 17,000 cases related to cultural heritage protection.
