121 birds including parrots, budgies, finches, and domestic hens were rescued from "deplorable" conditions in the Midlands, Ireland. Animal welfare inspectors from the ISPCA discovered the birds in a location with significant accumulations of faeces, rotten food, fly infestations, and cobwebs. The multi-agency operation involving An Garda Siochána, the Health Service Executive (HSE), and the National Parks and Wildlife Service removed the birds from the premises and placed them in the care of specialists.
