Leaders of Bangladesh's textile & apparel sector, including BGMEA, BTMA, and BKMEA, have urged the government to continue cash incentives on exports until 2032, reduce source tax, and withdraw 1% duty on capital machinery imports. They also requested a special financing scheme for small & medium industries. BGMEA President SM Mannan Kochi expressed disappointment with the government's budget, stating it fails to address key proposals from the garment sector, such as reduced source tax and maintaining tax exemptions.
