41-year-old Aaron Edward Gardner, a homeless man from Missouri with outstanding warrants in Kansas and Texas, was shot and killed by a Grover Beach, California officer on May 25. The incident began with Gardner flashing a gun at a gas station and later throwing rocks at cars. Despite repeated orders to drop the replica gun, Gardner advanced towards the officer, leading to the officer firing and killing him. The California Department of Justice and Grover Beach PD are investigating.
