25% of U.S. and U.K. knowledge workers fear being perceived as "lazy" or "frauds" for using AI at work, partly due to unclear company guidelines.

A survey by AI firm Anthropic and work management platform Asana found that over a quarter of 5,007 U.S. and U.K. knowledge workers are concerned about being perceived as "lazy" if they use AI at work. Another 23% fear being labeled "frauds" for using AI. These fears, along with worries about AI replacing humans, are partly due to companies not providing clear guidelines around AI use. However, when companies offer more resources and training, workers can use AI in a "psychologically safe" environment.
