The UK government's increase in minimum salary thresholds for family visas could face a High Court challenge, with pressure group Reunite Families UK filing for a judicial review. The minimum income requirement rose to £29,000 a year in April, increasing to £38,700 by early 2025. Reunite Families UK argues the measure is contrary to the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child, and questions if the decision was taken in line with official Whitehall advice.
