Oxford High School Principal Heath Harmon has been approved by the AHSAA Central Board of Control as the new Executive Director of the Alabama High School Athletic Association, succeeding Alvin Briggs who announced his retirement. Harmon, a lifelong Alabama resident with 27 years in education, will begin his role in early July, and is the sixth person to hold this position full-time in AHSAA history.
