Former Kenya Pipeline MD Charles Tanui and 15 others were acquitted of corruption charges related to the alleged loss of KSh644m in procurement. Anti-Corruption Magistrate Felix Kombo ruled the prosecution lacked sufficient evidence for conviction, emphasizing the importance of compelling evidence. The suspects were charged for the procurement of 58 Hydrant Pit Valves for Jomo Kenyatta International Airport in Dec 2018.
