The Presidency has refuted reports that Wale Edun, the Finance Minister, proposed N105,000 as a new minimum wage. Special Adviser to the President on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, stated that Edun did not propose such a figure, describing the reports as false. The finance minister presented a minimum wage proposal to President Bola Tinubu, although the details have not been disclosed to the public.
