Family and friends of Sacramento bail bondsman Kevin Brace, beaten to death downtown, gathered at City Hall to demand change. Brace's boss, Greg Padilla Bail Bonds co-owner Topo Padilla, blamed city leaders for making downtown Sacramento unsafe and called for better support for the police. Families of other violent crime victims joined the demand for Sacramento city leaders to address issues such as homelessness and not cut police positions amid a budget deficit.
