Auckland Mayor and Council allocate $100,000 to youth crime prevention organization TYLA, in line with the Long-term Plan 2024-2034.
Auckland Mayor Wayne Brown allocated $60,000 to youth crime prevention organization, Turn Your Life Around Youth Development Trust (TYLA). Auckland Council's Community Impact Unit added $40,000, totaling a $100,000 grant. TYLA will receive further funding in July. This investment aligns with the Long-term Plan 2024-2034's priorities to improve community safety and wellbeing. Established by NZ Police in 1996, TYLA works with young people experiencing intergenerational trauma and high-risk situations.
