Airline Operators of Nigeria (AON) rejects $300 helicopter landing/take-off fee, arguing it contradicts Nigerian laws and international regulations.

The Airline Operators of Nigeria (AON) have rejected the federal government's proposed $300 helicopter landing and take-off fee. AON argues that the fee contradicts Nigeria's laws and international regulations, and that the Nigerian Airspace Management Agency (NAMA) does not provide any additional services to helicopter operators to justify the imposition of the fee at all helipads, oil rig platforms, and other designated landing zones. AON insists the fee should be permanently scrapped.
