Woman struck and killed by CTA Brown and Purple Line train in downtown Chicago, causing track halt and major delays.

CTA Brown and Purple Line trains were halted at Sedgwick in downtown Chicago due to a "medical emergency on the tracks". A woman was struck by a train and later pronounced dead at the scene. Major delays are expected, and passengers are advised to take alternative transportation, including the Red Line. Shuttle buses and other bus routes have been ordered to provide connecting service.
