Queensland Premier pledges $26bn for renewable energy, targeting 80% by 2035, Australia's largest investment.

Queensland Premier Steven Miles has pledged $26bn (US$17bn) for renewable energy investments over the next four years, with the goal of achieving 50% renewable energy by 2030, 70% by 2032, and 80% by 2035. The investment aims to meet the state's 75% emissions reduction target by 2035, protect jobs and industries, and support public ownership of energy assets. This marks Australia's largest renewable energy investment to date.
