2024 Q1 saw record-breaking US solar installations, accounting for 75% of new electric power added. The US solar industry has benefited from increased availability of solar panels, federal and state policies aiming to increase clean energy on the grid, and domestic solar panel manufacturing capacity growth from 15.6 GW in Q4 2023 to 26.6 GW. The US added 11.8 GW of solar power capacity in Q1 2024, the second-best quarter on record.
