The Philippines' unemployment rate increased to 4% in April, up from 3.9% in March, according to the Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA). The number of jobless Filipinos rose to 2.04 million, lower than the estimated 2.26 million in April 2023 and 2.15 million in January 2024. The country's employment rate improved to 96% in April, higher than the 95.5% recorded in April 2023 and January 2024.
