4 city councillors from across Metro Vancouver call for a review of Metro Vancouver's governance structure, urging Premier David Eby to replace the current model of appointed board members with elected local representatives. The councillors argue that the 50-year-old governance model is outdated and incapable of controlling cost overruns in major capital projects. Metro Vancouver currently appoints 41 board members from 23 local governments.
