Jews in British Columbia claim the local teachers' union has denied recognition and funding to a Holocaust education group, making it ineligible to provide teaching resources. The Holocaust and Antisemitism Educators Association was created in response to the B.C. government making Holocaust education mandatory in the curriculum last year. The British Columbia Teachers' Federation has not recognized the association as a specialist group.
