Irish economy grew 0.9% in Q1 2024, led by IT sector, after quarterly decline in 2023.

The Irish economy returned to growth in Q1 2024, with GDP expanding 0.9% and Modified Domestic Demand (MDD) growing 1.4%. This marks the first quarterly growth since Q1 2023. The IT sector contributed to the growth, while industrial and construction sectors saw declines of 6.5% and 4.9% respectively. Personal consumption increased 0.6% during the quarter.
