The Florida Supreme Court upheld Gov. Ron DeSantis' decision to suspend State Attorney Monique Worrell, ruling her suspension for neglect of duty and incompetence was reasonable. Worrell was accused of avoiding mandatory minimum sentences for gun crimes and drug trafficking offenses, and allowing juvenile offenders to avoid jail time. Six out of seven justices agreed with DeSantis' allegations while one dissented.
