Eurozone retail sales fell by 0.5% in May, surpassing the expected 0.3% drop, according to Eurostat data. Food, drinks, and tobacco sales dipped 0.5%, while non-food products sales declined by 0.1%. Automotive fuel sales in specialized stores saw a 2.2% decrease. Yearly, retail sales remained stable after a 0.7% growth. In the EU27, retail sales dropped 0.6% monthly and decreased 0.1% year-on-year in April.
