Detroit Tigers' pitcher Kenta Maeda exits game after two pitches due to abdominal discomfort.
Detroit Tigers' pitcher Kenta Maeda left Wednesday's game after just two pitches, experiencing discomfort on the right side of his abdomen. Maeda, signed for a two-year, $24M contract, had a 6.25 ERA and 1.413 WHIP before the game. Joey Wentz replaced him, allowing three earned runs in 2.2 innings. Maeda's short stint follows teammate Jack Flaherty leaving a previous game due to back tightness.
