BBC apologised for an offensive comment during live D-Day coverage. Presenter Kirsty Young was anchoring BBC's D-Day 80: Tribute to the Fallen, marking the 80th anniversary of the historic D-Day landings, when an off-camera voice blurted out "French a*******s". The BBC has since issued a statement apologising for the mishap and removed the program from iPlayer.
