Alberta health care workers launch a $125M class-action lawsuit against Alberta Health Services (AHS) for allegedly violating the Employment Standards Code by overworking and underpaying clinical assistants (CA), clinical and surgical assistants (CSA). The lawsuit, filed on April 26, seeks damages of up to $125 million. Many plaintiffs are fully-trained doctors from their home countries and there are approximately 228 such workers within AHS.
