4 firefighters injured battling 60-acre Crystal Fire in Napa County, CA; fire 65% contained.
4 firefighters were injured while combating a 60-acre wildfire, known as the Crystal Fire, in Napa County, California. The firefighters sustained injuries related to the challenging terrain and hot summer conditions. The fire, which started on the east side of the county at around 1:30 p.m., was about 65% contained by the evening. The area had previously been affected by the Glass Fire in 2020. Temperatures reached about 101 degrees on Wednesday, and 20 fire engines and other vehicles were expected to fight the fire overnight. Cal Fire Law Enforcement is currently investigating the cause of the fire.
