60-year-old windsurfing pioneer Farrel O'Shea, known for his British speed record and business ventures in the sport, has died in southern France on June 2 after being taken ill on a beach. O'Shea, a resident of Abersoch, was an innovator in the sport, developing new technical moves and writing books on windsurfing. He also founded the O'Shea surfing and windsurfing brand and commercial operations on the Llŷn Peninsula.
