A Kildare man with a propensity for violence, Leroy Roche Dumbrell (37), was jailed for two years for assaulting another man in Dublin. Judge Jonathan Dunphy, while setting a headline sentence of four and a half years, noted Dumbrell's violence was aggravated by his drug addiction, but acknowledged his progress in rehabilitation. He added that full-time anger management is needed for Dumbrell. The final 12 months of the term were suspended on the condition that Dumbrell engages with the Probation Service.
